Diverse Perspectives

January 5, 2013

It’s easy to view the world around us from a singular perspective, but how often do we walk in someone else’s shoes to gain added perspective? How often do we consider the factors that influence their decisions? How often do we look at the causes of an action, instead of just the results? When we dare to step away from our perception of how things ought to be, it frees us to experience diverse perspectives. Then, we are not so quick to judge, find fault, or cast blame. When we observe circumstances from someone else’s standpoint, we have a tendency to understand and to care. Do someone a favor today — take a second look — from their perspective.
